After pouring our beer for 150 folks in our hopeful hometown-to-be this past weekend in East Lyme, we’re pumped to pour our beer for a community solely dedicated to craft beer in CT – /r/CTbeer.
This Sunday April 19th at Two Roads Brewing Company in Stratford, CT from 1-5 pm, Noble Jay will be pouring for the Spring 2015 /r/CTbeer Meetup. The folks at Two Roads have been gracious enough to donate an event room for the meetup as well as providing private tours for attendees.
Space is limited to 100 people, so you must reserve your spot on-line here. While attendance is free, we ask that upon checkout you make a donation to the SMS Research Foundation. Here’s some more information about the event:
Sunday April 19th Two Roads Brewing in Stratford will be hosting the Spring 2015 /r/CTBeer meetup.
We will be able to meet, mingle, and SHARE in their private event room. That’s right they are allowing us to share bottles and homebrews in the event room only. The meetup will be held from 1-5pm. Private tours will be available at 2, 3, and 4 pm and hopefully we will have a special guest or two. Green Grunion Burrito Truck will be on site for the duration. If anyone wants to pitch in and bring some snacks and drinks that would be greatly appreciated as well!
This will be a free event, however please consider donating to the SMS Research Foundation at checkout, all of which will be matched up to $50,000 (see link) or Stratford Air & Space museum (to be collected at the event). We are limited to 100 people for the event so everyone will need to register. The brewery can handle overflow, but the bottle share will be for registered Redditors and guests only.
Everyone in attendance is welcome to participate in the bottle share. It is likely that we will have a much higher number of people than is typical of a bottle share. Not everyone will get to try everything and likely most people will not get to try a lot of things. Lets just have fun with it and enjoy sharing some of our favorites with fellow beer nerds. Plan on bringing a bottle or two to participate. I’ve asked a few homebrewers to bring some samples as well and if any of you would like to do the same please do.
Stratford is easily accessible in under an hour from most of the state. For those who haven’t been to Two Roads its right off exit 31 on 95.
Cheers and we hope to see you there!
